Boston is a city with a lot of Irish heritage and it really shines in the pubs. Just like all the major cities Boston loves showcasing their past and with the Irish a pub is a great way to preserve this history. With that being the case, Boston has a lot of pubs that are going to have the traditional Irish food and drink and to help you out we have ranked the top 7 pubs, Irish and English in Boston.

  • 7. Sullivan's Pub @Sullivans-Pub -

    Sullivan's is a place that has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. This is a place that has been able to gain this because of the way the staff has been trained and how they treat the customers. Throw in our favorite local beers that are here and you have a great pub to visit in Boston.

  • 6. Shenannigans Bar & Grill @ShenannigansBarGrill -

    Where can you go wrong with an Irish themed pub named Shenannigans? Well, you can go wrong by not stopping at the location that is how! This is a great place to go to and one that you will love to eat at. Our favorite menu item from here is the Gaelic Burger that has a great combination of sirloin with the Irish Whiskey Cheddar and Irish bacon. 

  • 5. The Banshee @bansheeboston -

    The Banshee is a place that is going to knock your socks off. The location is changing the draft list on a somewhat regular basis, but they do keep it updates so you get some great drink options. Our favorite food from the location is the Cajun Blackened Chicken, which is a very tasty dish. 

  • 4. Eire Pub @eirepub -

    The "original pub" in Boston is one of those places that you are going to fall in love with. Eire has been in business for over 50 years and this is going to make it a classic location to go and see. Our favorite food is just the simple, steak tips that is able to keep you full and have a vegetable option as well. 

  • 3. The Corner Pub @Cornerpubboston -

    Located in the middle of a very impressive leather district of Boston is The Corner Pub. This is a family owned location that has a great atmosphere that will let you relax after you get done working on a long hard day. Our favorite dish from here is the Buffalo Bleu Burger, which is a stunning piece of meat that is completely dressed properly. 

  • 2. J.J. Foley's Cafe @JJFoleysCafe -

    J.J. Foley's is a place that you are going to love because it has some great atmosphere for you to enjoy, but also a great bit of menu options as well. Our favorite menu it is the Mr. Foley's Favorite burger that has managed to keep us happy and our stomachs full.

    Authentic Irish cuisine and beer is what makes The Black Rose a great place to stop in at. Throw in the charm of the location and you will see why the Black Rose made the top of our list for pubs in Beantown. Our favorite dish on the menu Guinness Beef Stew that blows our minds with the food quality and taste.
