Getting a cup of coffee or hot tea is a great way to start off your mornings. The problem is when you travel it is nearly impossible to find a shop to go that does not have a chain logo or name. That is why I tend to hunt down the locally owned shops and that is exactly what I am going to share here with you here in the top 7 coffee shops in Atlanta.

Do you want to learn even more about my home city? If you do check out our Atlanta travel page.

  • 7. Drip @dripatl -

This is one of the few coffee shops that has a quiche with it, but it is very easy to see why. The food is amazing and any other shop that would try would be outranked by a quiche here. What else is great here is the amazing teas that you can have made.

  • 6. Condesa Coffee @condesacoffee -

Are you looking for a great place to go and drink some good coffee in a very nice location? If you are then you need to check out Condesa. This place has some great coffee for you to enjoy and some amazing food to go along. The decor here is modern as well, which allows you to get the food and coffee in comfort.

  • 5. Land of a Thousand Hills @LOTHMidtown -

This is a chic type of spot that has single origin coffee which allows you to get the great flavors of the single flavors and roast. The best part is you are able to get the best coffee while sitting on the patio and enjoying the city.

  • 4. Octane @octanecoffee -

If you want to go to a basic coffee shop with some pastries then you cannot go wrong at Octane. The place has some great food and even better coffee for you to enjoy. I would recommend the hot chocolate though as it is really good.

  • 3. Taproom Coffee @TaproomCoffee -

Taproom Coffee is a place that will be great during the morning or at night as the place has some beer on tap along side the coffee. So where can you go wrong? Well, you could order the wrong coffee, but I recommend just getting some espresso shots to have a great drink.

  • 2. Inman Perk Coffee @InmanPerk -

This is a great place to go and hang out, but it is also a place that has some amazing coffee for you to enjoy as well. I know that when you are here you will really want to try the breakfast burrito if it is morning or the chocolate chip cookie if it is afternoon as both go great with your coffee or if you are like me the chai.

  • 1. Dancing Goats @dancinggoatscoffeebar -

Located in an older building that has been restored you will find Dancing Goats. The place has been restored and is amazing, but it also has some great feel to it for the hip location. The drinks here are great as well as everyone knows how to make the drinks to an amazing level.
